My Books
Teresa has authored or co-authored over fourteen books.
Written on contract (with two co-authors chosen by me) for an international charity, this book has already become a USA Today national best-seller and was in its third printing a month after publication.
Nurses, midwives and other health care professionals working with new mothers need to know how to get breastfeeding off to a good start and to identify and solve problems. This book, written with well-known breastfeeding expert Dr. Jack Newman, is a clear and straightforward guide for those working with mothers and their babies.
Written with a physician, this book (now in its second edition) helps expectant parents understand the research about the many decisions to be made as pregnancy progresses. Should the baby be born in the hospital or at home? With a midwife or a doctor? What tests should be done? The evidence on those questions and many more is made clear and understandable in this book. Pregnancy and Birth has been translated into French, Russian and Portuguese.
Now in its fourth edition, this book has been translated into French, Japanese and Spanish. It is a comprehensive guide to breastfeeding success with information about getting started, solving problems, and daily life with a breastfed baby, and is widely recommended by La Leche League International, Lamaze, DONA and other organizations for new and expectant parents.
